On late night one year ago while surfing on the internet, I found a place called "Dabbaguli". When I was indeed in finding this place, I found a lot of info about this place. On collecting this info Dabbaguli became a dream destination for me to explore. One year went due to some circumstances I couldn't make my way to Dabbaguli. But the dream came true on Independence Day because it is a 3 day holiday (Fri, sat, sun). All fine, the dates are finalized with my friends, the study about the place and preparation had been done in full-fledged. We made an enquiry with the known person about the placeHe gave us a lot of valuable info about the place, route, direction, travel duration. At this moment I thank the person who gave the info about the place (sorry I can't expose the person name), without your info my dream destination would be a dream only but now it came true. Thank you, sir.

Dabbaguli is a place located at Tamilnadu and Karnataka border. It is the anti-poaching camp in Urigam range of Hosur forest division and a reserve forest. This is the place where Cauvery River starts its journey into Tamilnadu. On the river bank, an old Shiva temple is located. During the Shivaratri time, 10,000-15,000 people gather for a jatre. The people who come to jatre usually litter the Cauvery River with plastic covers, cups, liquor bottle etc.
Wildlife NGO's are taking many conservative steps in jatre to control the pollution of the forest by making awareness campaign, usage of biodegradable plastics etc and they got succeeded in a couple of years in past.

Finally, the Independence Day came, in the morning we missed our departure time (6.00) due to our delay. We started at 8.00 am in the morning.  But the delay was not taken care when we started. I was the only one person who is shouting about the time. Since it was Independence Day we tied our national flag in our car.
we passed Shoolagiri and while moving towards Uddanapalli, our friend Nishanth got excited on seeing Syzygium_cumini (naaval pazham)  and stepped out from the car and forgot to put the handbrake and parked the vehicle in the middle of the road. He went to plug the fruits by climbing the tree. On seeing the car moving without us, babu parked the car on the roadside. We collected the fruits on the roadside.

Then we moved forward towards Kelamangalam and reached the Denkanikottai at 10.00 we had our breakfast. In Denkanikotai, we bought chicken, rice and ingredients for cooking our lunch. After our chat time is over we moved forward towards Anchetty at 11.15.

After reaching the Anchetty, we enquired the way to Hunsanhalli(Karnataka) we got the right route towards Hunsanhalli after 12km from  Anchetty there is a forest check post but no one is there. We crossed the check post easily. During our journey, we saw lush greenery on both side, hairpin bend, steep ascent and decent. The vegetation is so green. After reaching  Hunsanhalli we had to move towards Bhelpatti for this we had to cross a reserve forest which falls in Karnataka state. This is the tough part for Nishanth, as he is driving the car. The roads are in worst condition lot of steep ascent, we could not sit comfortably.

One who is travelling on this road has to take care of himself. The tyre button &brake have to be in proper working condition. Then we reached Bhelpatti and Manchukondapalli. After Manchukondapalli it was full of mud road (off road) but our machine has the capacity and it crossed the challenges. Finally, we reached Dabbaguli. When we saw the Cauvery River on the excitement we all shouted in full happiness.

The above pic is the river Cauvery in Dabbaguli. After taking some snaps we went to the temple for worshipping Lord Shiva. There are 3 temples in and around. Other than there were an old ruined temple and a huge Nandhi statue.

After our rituals are over directly we went for cooking our lunch i.e., yummy chicken with white rice. The real joy is bachelors cooking their lunch for their taste and doesn't care about anything. A lot of monkeys gathered when we start cooking they troubled us a lot. Finally, we prepared yummy chicken and white rice.

During our cooking time, we enjoyed the beauty of hill ranges, forest and the river Cauvery.

After finishing our cooking, we took our utensils & lunch to another end of the river bank. We had our lunch in sand deposit formed by river flow which resembles like an island.

After finishing our lunch, we played kabaddi on the sand and had a fine bath in River Cauvery .we didn't bother about time at all. At last, we stepped out from the river and got ready for our return journey. At 6.40 am in the evening, we started our return journey. There is no power in most of the remote villages on the way. We came as soon as possible and we reached home at 10.30 pm. at the end my final words are we succeeded, conquered, explored the fine destination less crowded place in Krishnagiri district and my dream to visit Dabbaguli has come true.
