kaigal waterfalls(andhra pradesh)

It was the first weekend of December month(2013). I was searching for the right destination which is around Krishnagiri. While surfing the internet I found a heaven which is 80 km away from my hometown. Hence the destination was fixed on gathering further information. I couldn't find enough stuff for my weekend plan. I set my mind to explore the place and decided to escape from my town before 7.00 am in the morning.
When I initiated and explained about our weekend plan my friends didn't believe in me. I know the secret to convince my friends and I succeeded in that. My three friends agreed to accompany the trip was Althaf, Karthick, Nishanth.  unfortunately, Nishanth got dropped from the plan due to his prior commitment.  I thought the plan was dropped. Karthick forced us to execute the plan. we decided to go ahead we called Karthick's bro Vinoth for our trip he gave positive node.

 There was a delay in our trip due to some heated arguments regarding the change in plan. Finally, we left the town at 9.00 am. By luckily "Kaigal waterfalls"  is found in  Google maps. It made our trip very safe.
    
The route was Krishnagiri-Kuppam-PES medical college-V.Kotta-Kaigal. we started and explore the beauty of the ghats while entering the Andhra Pradesh broader.
we took a lot of snaps in the ghats and proceed to Kuppam. we moved further towards the highway and passed the PES medical college. a shock was waiting for us on the way that we were blocked by traffic because of the arrival of AP politician "JEGAN MOHAN REDDY". full of flux banner and was kept on both side road.


we managed to escape from the traffic by entering into the side by villages we saw "JEGAN MOHAN REDDY" that he was a young politician in AP. on moving there were lot of people on the either of the road lots of crowds gathered on both sides.


There was a political meeting on the way to Venkatagiri Kota. on further we reached Venkatagiri Kota a small town. we enquired about the falls but we got negative critics that the place is not worth, no water in the falls, total waste, we didn't bother about anything and further moved on the way we took some snaps on the roadside after v.kota there are no pressure signs about Jegan's arrival beyond Venkatagiri Kota. 






we reached the Kaigal village on the state highway and enquired about the falls and we got it. there were no amenities in the falls hence we packed our lunch from the nearby village on the way to Chittoor highway. the vehicles are not allowed to interior area of the falls, there was bike parking layout. After parking our bikes we stepped in towards the falls it was less crowded and. fully surrounded by green forest.
   
further, we have to move carefully it's fully downhill to reach the falls. on the way, we saw the AP government forest guest house. it is so fabulous. on reaching a huge rock on the way we could hear the water stream and moved a little bit down and we found the paradise of heaven the Kaigal waterfalls.
   
 
we got a little disappointed due to the offseason water stream available in the falls. In front of the falls, there was a small pond were water stagnates and flow further. It has some adequate depth for people to enjoy their bath. There was a small shire along the side of the falls it was a Siva lingam. on seeing around the entire premises we are the only creatures to enjoy in the deep forest. we enjoyed the falls and had our bath. here our gala time in the falls.





the time was already 5.30 pm. and we ride safely to V.Kota filled our bike fuel tank and returned to our home. I reached my home at 9.00 pm. At last, I got a lot of scolding from my bro for late coming. the weekend hangout ends with an empty wallet. I recommend visiting this place safely in the daytime before 5.00 pm.
the best time to visit-post-monsoon months(from the first week of October to mid-November)
transport- no proper transport is available. own transportation is the best choice to enjoy this place. 
time- morning 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
risk- get away before 5.00 pm or else you and your vehicles could be handed to local police as this is reserve forest and animal movement is there. couples try to avoid this place. 
food- available in the next village of distance 4 km.
accommodation- one can get permission from DFO to stay in the forest guest house.

Kolli hills - Behind the mysterious

Travellers : Althaf, Nishanth, Karthick, Srini, Edwin(me). Target destination : Kolli hills. Duration : one night one day. Distance: 187*2 km Mode of transport : omini. Activities : Camping, Hiking, Sightseeing. Route : krishnagiri-Salem-Rasipuram-Karavalli(foothills of Kolli)-Semmedu(Kolli hills). It had been a long time for making a trip to a hill station in the summer season. we were planning for a perfect destination and a perfect time to make a trip. As it was good Friday, Easter holidays we planned a trip and got a positive nod from our friends. that our friend Srini agreed to take his omini for the trip and we finalized the destination as Kolli hills.  lot of homework was done for this trip. we are sure that we couldn't do things which we could do usually in all our trips. Dabbaguli- A blissful trip on the river banks of Cauvery.
